Stop Domestic Violence

     Welcome to Help Stop Domestic Violence. My name is Tammy. I am a 10 year survivor of domestic violence.  
     There are a lot of stigmas put on victims of domestic violence in which are all misconstrude and misunderstood by so many who don't understand what it is like to walk a mile in our shoes.

     There are a lot of people who show no compassion for those who go through abuse because they believe that it is easy to just walk away from the abuse but they don't understand the reality of it and how it doesn't begin with hitting. On this website I plan on telling part of my story in which I hope to tell those who have this misunderstanding about the life of an abuers and how they think, how the controlling and mind games are what comes long before the hitting ever starts.

     I want to show those who don't understand that by the time the hitting starts, our mental awareness of ourselves of who we are is no longer there and that what we believe is that what we get is what we deserve. I'm hoping that by telling my story, I can help those who don't understand or haven't walked a mile in a victim's shoes will understand that a victim is just that, a puppet under someone's control, mentally and physically.

     First thing I would like to say is, as a victim of abuse, all the times I screamed and cried in pain, I only wished that someone called the police to save me.
